Because of the fact that many different graphic cards / chip sets use different driver revisions and are connected to different screens, in general we can only give you guidelines on how to set up your display configuration to get the best playback results.
Your display is a shared resource; therefore we intentionally avoided manipulating your display setup directly, because the best settings for AnimPlayer may result in worse results in other graphical applications.
If you have a specific problem please read the help and FAQ sections, and make sure you have installed the latest graphic card drivers and DirectX® runtime version before contacting us for support.
Display Properties
Open the Display Properties Dialog Start / Settings / Control Panel / Display and choose the Settings tab or click here and confirm to run / open the link.

Color Quality
On multi-monitor configurations, please make sure all monitors have set the same color quality. The current colorspace settings of AnimPlayer can be changed in the Infobar and are also accessible through the Preferences dialog.
If AnimPlayer runs in
- YUV 4:2:2 colorspace: make sure the color quality above is set to Highest (32 bit); otherwise AnimPlayer may display very strong color banding and correct simulation of YUV colorspace won’t be given.
- RGB 16 bit colorspace: there are no visual differences, but you may get better playback performance if you choose Medium (16 bit). When using HD footage this performance boost may be necessary on older hardware. However keep in mind that this affect all other applications as well and color banding may appear.
- RGB 32 bit colorspace: make sure the color quality above is set to Highest (32 bit); otherwise AnimPlayer displays very strong color banding.
